NV Airlie Bank Yarra Cuvée SparklingNV Airlie Bank Yarra Cuvée Sparkling$28.00
“80/20% chardonnay/pinot noir. Charmat method, with the NV wine sitting on full lees in tank. 6g/L dosage. A pale, bright green gold. Excellent bang for your buck here. Citrus, honey, some red fruits and just enough freshly baked biscuits to make it interesting. The palate is just dry enough, finishing clean and crisp.” 90 points. At the Punt Road winery in Coldstream, we aim to produce wines that reflect the heritage of our vineyard, and the creative energy of the Yarra Valley. We select parcels of fruit from the Napoleone Vineyard that stand out for freshness and balance. We practice wild fermentation, skin contact and barrel maturation to produce a fresh but savoury pinot gris, with notes of nashi pear and cirrus. Our pinot gris was sourced from two blocks of D1V7 at the Napoleone Vineyard. We harvested earlier than usual, at around 11.9 baume, due to ideal ripening conditions. To extract maximum texture and flavour, we pressed the grapes hard. The wine was naturally fermented in old oak puncheons, with 20% being fermented in tanks to preserve the aroma. Regular stirring of the lees enhanced the wine's complexity and mouthfeel. We bottled the wine early to maintain freshness. - Jarrod Johnson, Punt Road
2023 Punt Road Chardonnay2023 Punt Road Chardonnay$27.00
Apples, citrus fruits and a hint of minerality. Fresh and crisp, with a clean finish. Despite a cooler growing season, we had a mild summer with gradual fruit maturation resulting in complex and elegant flavours in our wine. We harvested from various blocks from the estate, choosing each block based on flavour characteristics and acids for a fresh, fruit-driven chardonnay. The wine was naturally fermented in French oak with regular lees stirring to build texture and complexity.

This is spot on. Lifted, lively, varietal and complex, for sure, but mostly just plain delicious. It tastes mostly of undergrowth and black cherries though there are roasted spice notes and some positively-employed reduction. It finishes dry – and more-ish. 92 points. Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front Jan 2024

The 2022 is graceful yet powerful with satsuma plums, dark berries, liquorice and spice. There is lovely balance, structure and length.
2021 Punt Road Block 3 Cabernet Sauvignon2021 Punt Road Block 3 Cabernet Sauvignon$100.00
Sourced from 1984-planted vines. A natural-yeast, whole-berry ferment with 21 days on skins before being pressed to French oak barriques (25% new). Matured for 18 months before bottling. A deep crimson red. Gorgeous aromatics from the first whiff with its complex array of red and black fruits, violets, cedar and a dusting of black cocoa powder. This is simultaneously concentrated, elegant and textured and while already a pleasure to drink, those perfectly judged, fine-grained tannins will ensure a long life ahead. Fully deserving of its trophy for Best Cabernet Sauvignon at the 2022 Yarra Valley Wine Show. 97 points. Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion Aug 2023

This single-site Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an equal-parts marriage of Punt Road's two best Cabernet blocks, with small injections of Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. It brings together light-footed, red-fruit notes with black olive and cassis, while French oak influence adds complexity of char, smoked charcuterie, pencil shavings and vanilla.
