65% sauvignon blanc, 25% semillon, 10% muscadelle. Gleaming straw-green; the combination of finesse and intensity is of the highest scale, as is the purity of the fruit expression. This is the vineyard speaking, shaping a blend of sauvignon blanc and semillon (leaving the muscadelle to one side) into a wine like no other. This is all about doing less, the hardest task for a winemaker. 97 points – James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion

The Mount Mary vineyard is planted to 75% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon and 5% Muscadelle, though the blend components in the wines vary from vintage to vintage. This 2016 release is 67% Sauvignon Blanc, 23% Semillon, 10% Muscadelle. This is about as accessible as Triolet gets. It’s a beautiful wine, fruit-filled but flinty, inherently stylish, upfront with its flavours but persistent plus. It has you at hello but then walks you out to your car afterwards. 95 points – Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

Piercing wine yet shows a little pleasing weight and pronounced chewy grip around the core of athletic acidity. Licks of nougat amongst the lemon pith, young pear and white flesh stone fruit. It sits firm and full in the palate with exceptional length and presence. While refreshing, this feels serious and expressive in a more detailed way. It’s a stellar release. 95 points – Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
