It’s a surly wine. It’s bold with fruit, ripped with tannin, has a pretty side but for the most part it feels muscular, even brooding. It tastes of dark berried fruit, florals, soy and woodsy spice. It’s a hard wine to pin down; it’s silken and varietal but it has its own clear personality, it’s just that getting a good read on that personality isn’t easy. It’s intriguing. It’s clearly a quality wine but exactly how good it is will only be revealed in time.
