2020 Clos Clare Grenache sourced from 20-year-old vines from the McKays Vineyard, planted amongst the limestone and slate soils of Watervale. Hand picked, matured for 10 months in French oak.
Seems like a good vintage for CC Grenache.Raspberry, boysenberry, nuts and spicy perfume. Medium-bodied, nutty red fruit, savoury flavour, fine tannin grip and a slightly stony finish of good length. Excellent drink. Versatile too. 92 points. Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
