Apricot kernel, apple pie, mint, ginger and clove spice. It’s smooth and creamy, apple pie, sweet lime and tangerine, a savoury salty cinnamon pie crust kind of thing, firm chalky texture, waxy too, with lots of flavour and presence, almost into Chardonnay weight here, with a saline ‘mineral’ and umami inflection, and a firm crunch and apricot aftertaste. Not your average Riesling, that’s for sure.
