Theres an alluring reductive note here that Jean Marc references : more iron in soil= more reduction in wine. In the glass there’s piercing delicate pinot noir red fruit suggestions. 100% Pinot Noir from Les Gayeres in Pierry planted in 1974 by selection massale that features silty clays loaded with flint & limestone on top of orange clays and deep chalk subsoil. Fermented in old oak barrels ranging from 350-600 litres for 10 months and bottles with no fining or filtration and aged under cork on lees for 4 years and finished with 2 g/l after disgorging.
