This wine is made from the harvest of old vines that are more than 80 years old but is the newest single vineyard to the domaine. These vineyards, located in the northern zone of the Viré-Clessé appeal, grow on abundant clay and limestone soils. These properties of terrior make it possible to make a concentrated and mineral wine suitable for long ripening.
Wine for 24 months ripened in barrels of French oak, along with yeast sediment. The aroma features notes of snuggled pears, toasted hazelnuts and yeast bread baked goods. In the mouth, the wine is full body, the flavors of butter, smoke and nuts are felt, which are accompanied by a long mineral aftertaste. – Aurélien Palthey, Domaine Andre Bonhomme
