2021 Dalwhinnie Three Valleys Pinot Noir

Heralding from three exceptional sites of Huon Valley, Lower Derwent Valley and Coal River Valley, each parcel of fruit was then fermented and matured separately in large format French oak for ten months prior to blending and bottling, with minimal intervention. Constant spring winds during budburst caused lower vine yields. The region experienced cooler than average temperatures over the growing season causing a longer, slower ripening period with delayed harvest dates. The driest growing season to date causing intensely concentrated fruit.

Deep garnet with a crimson hue and aromas of red berries, blood orange and dark cherry, this is a wine of intriguing complexity and charm. Brightly fruited on the front palate, the core of this delicious wine shows concentrated plum, cranberry and sweet bergamot flavours, woven together with mineral acidity and fine, powdered tannins. – Julian Langworthy, Dalwhinnie
