Notes
Cabernet’s intensity for a rich and structural wine. The Balnaves Coonawarra Vineyard was established in 1975 and is situated at the southern end of the Coonawarra Terra Rossa strip. The Balnaves family arrived in the region in 1855 from paisley, Scotland and opened their first general store in Penola in 1858.
2022 Cabernet Merlot is comprised of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, matured for 14 months in 27% new French Oak. A nose of blackberry and blue fruit complemented by dark chocolate, leading into a complex palate of smooth tannins and cedar spice.
