2022 Clos Venturi ‘Brama’ Sciaccarellu Rouge

100% Sciaccarellu grown on vines planted in 1976 on sandstone with a south-east exposure.  Handpicked and 100% destemmed.  Fermented in oak cask and barrel with indigenous yeast.  Maceration and fermentation lasted for 25 days with daily pigeage.  14-18 months of maturing.  No fining and very lightly filtered before bottling.

Light red ruby colour. Wonderfully developed black cherries, white pepper and leather aromas. Juicy flavours of cherry candy coupled with hints of spices weave through the palate. Balanced acidity and polished tannins on the finish.  Manu Venturi, Clos Venturi
