The 2022 Pannobile is a blend of 40% Zweigelt and 60% Blaufrankish. Smoke and dark fruit define the nose, opening into a juicy blueberry araoma. Juciness remains the watchword of the wine’s swinging, fluid, medium body. It has satin tannins, a touch of fruit and superb acidity, showing the finesse of those slightly drying tannins. Blaufrankish, Zweigelt blend.
Velvety, round, and balanced. A long, tranquil river that flows seemingly effortlessly toward the palate. Occasional rapids are due to a present but well-integrated acidity. The tannins are ripe and mellow, the body rich. The aroma profile offers ripe cherries, sweet spices, and dark pepper. Towards the end, the river tapers, becoming linear and contoured before flowing into a long and aromatically broad delta. – Pittnauer
