Grown on warm, south facing terraces on the fabled Loibenberg vineyard on primary rock (Gneiss). Vines are an average of 28 years old with some as old as 50 years old. Harvest is 100% by hand and grapes are whole bunch pressed followed by 4-6 hours skin contact before being naturally fermented in a mixture of 500-5000 litre casks and tanks followed by 6-8 months ageing on lees with no bâtonnage. – Knoll
