Blackberry, raspberry, liquorice, quite stony too, with a layer of dark chocolate and exotic spice along with a sweet scrub herb perfume. It’s a juicy and fleshy wine, again the stony thing with a smattering of dried herb, a sort of pumice stone/volcanic feel to tannin (don’t mind me), and a bold dark berry finish of excellent length. This captures the somewhat unfettered feel of this region so well. Gravel, wild perfume, and an abundance of character. Very good. 94 points. Gary Walsh, The Winefront Oct 2025
