Raspberry, boysenberry, spice bright and juicy refreshing acidity
In stock
2024 was two vintages in one: incredibly wet in December and January, and spectacularly warm and dry in February. The wet growing season translated into good soil moisture and lush, healthy vine canopies. Careful management by our dedicated vineyard crew set the vines up to speed through ripening when the sun finally came out. The wines produced show great purity of fruit, high natural acidity and attractive perfume.
A vibrant and expressive blend crafted for freshness and effortless enjoyment. The two varieties were vinified separately. The grenache was 100% destemmed to highlight its juicy red fruit and spice, while Gamay underwent a combination of whole bunch and whole berry fermentation, adding lift, texture, and a delicate mineral edge. Aged in neutral old oak to preserve purity, the wine pours a vibrant garnet hue with a medium-bodied palate. Expect raspberry and boysenberry, layered with subtle spice from the Grenache and minerality from the Gamay. Refreshing acidity and gentle tannins make this an ideal chillable red. – Jarrod Johnson, Airlie Bank
