Braitenpuechtorff is one of the most personal wines. Cool, vibrant fruit notes, apricot, melon, white blossoms, meadow herbs; on the palate, a mineral wine with a taut structure, juicy fruit, grapefruit on the finish, good length. – Ingrid Groiss

Braitenpuechtorff is one of the most personal wines in Ingrid Groiss’ range.
The wine itself isn’t from a single vineyard. The name “Braitenpuechtorff” is a tribute to Ingrid’s grandmother and combines the names of the three villages where her grandmother owned vineyards. Those vineyards, including Riesling vines planted in 1951, form the foundation of Ingrid’s estate today. When Ingrid returned home to Breitenwaida and established her own winery in 2010, she was effectively fulfilling a dream that had begun generations earlier.
The 2025 release captures everything we love about Ingrid’s wines: precision without austerity, texture without weight, and a beautiful sense of place. Bright, energetic and quietly complex, it offers an introduction not only to the Weinviertel, but to one of Austria’s most thoughtful young vignerons.
