2023 La Spinetta Moscato d’Asti Bricco Quaglia

Italy’s first single-vineyard Moscato with the inaugural vintage from the 1977 harvest. Grapes comes from vines with an average age of 40 years old, on the marly calcareous and sandy-soils of a south-facing slope at an elevation of 300m. Farmed sustainably, with no use of herbicides or pesticides. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats for an average period of 3 months before being bottled young and fresh.

The resulting wines are yellow with slight green hues and shows hints of mandarin, white peach and sage. Hints of tropical fruit, orange blossom and pink grapefruit. The palate is fresh and aromatic, with hints of citrus fruit, herbs, floral hints and green apple. The finish is broad yet delicate. Pair with Gorgonzola and pear crostini, panettone. – La Spinetta
