Notes
100% Riesling. Grapes harvested by hand from vineyards from the Oberhausen location. Clay shale soils and steep terrain slopes provide ideal conditions for Riesling. The south-east oriented slopes ensure enough morning sun, which dries the excess moisture. The afternoon sun is no longer so direct and supports a long ripening period without overripe. An ideal vineyard for the cabinet with high minerality and sophisticated elegance. Organically grown grapes, Fair’n Green certification. Spontaneous fermentation, the base wine was vinified in very old oak barrels. Subsequent secondary fermentation in the bottle for at least 44 months. – Dönnhoff
