2020 André Bonhomme Viré-Clessé Le Coteau de L’Epinet

This wine comes from the Epinet area located in the northern part of the Viré Clessé estate. The exposure is full east and the soil consists of red clays dotted with small white limestone on the surface. This is one of the oldest plots of the estate, planted in 1923. The venerable age of these Chardonnays and this exceptional terroir give rise to dense and complex wines. The slow and natural winemaking takes place in oak barrels thanks to indigenous yeasts and bacteria for a total development time of 24 months.

The production of this vintage is quite private, as we only offer 850 bottles per year. A wine of great care and great finesse to associate with noble fish and crustaceans such as fresh langoustines or Breton lobster.
