The terraced plantings are located in the legally delimited Kremstal wine-growing-area. The legendary “Grillenparz” Erste Lage (Austrian grand cru) is behind the beautiful old city of Stein. The vineyard was first mentioned in 1180. The Grillenparz vineyard is famous for Riesling, which grows on conglomerate soils with a high limestone content.
