2022 André Bonhomme Viré-Clessé Vielles Vignes

The Vieilles Vignes wine comes from different parcels of 70 to 95 years of age planted on red and white clay soils, sometimes with limestone subsoil outcropping in stony forms. The venerable age of its plots conveys a great concentration and complexity to this gastronomic wine, present on many tables, including the most prestigious. Vinification and ageing are traditional in oak barrels with indigenous yeasts and bacteria, for a period of 20 months. The wine Vieilles Vignes is paired with scallops, fish in sauce, creamed poultry, sweetbreads, and noble crustaceans.

The wine is green gold with golden highlights. On the nose its rich and elegant, with notes of toast, hazelnut and white flowers. On the palate its ample and complex with notes of fresh butter, ripe fruit and spices. The minerality gives a nice length and tension, with a fresh and balanced finish.
