Apples, citrus fruits and a hint of minerality. Fresh and crisp, with a clean finish. Despite a cooler growing season, we had a mild summer with gradual fruit maturation resulting in complex and elegant flavours in our wine. We harvested from various blocks from the estate, choosing each block based on flavour characteristics and acids for a fresh, fruit-driven chardonnay. The wine was naturally fermented in French oak with regular lees stirring to build texture and complexity.

Notes
Harvested from multiple blocks on the Napoleone Vineyard, including the older plantings of clones |10V1, 76 and 95, and our new plantings of P58 and Mendoza clones. Each block was picked base on flavour and acid rather than sugar content, resulting in a fresh fruit-driven style of chardonnay. The wine was fermented naturally in French oak (20% new, all puncheons). Lees are stirred regularly to help build texture and complexity.
