Erdener Treppchen fruit, made in stainless steel and fermented to dryness (sub 3g/l) with selected yeast, à la classic Australian-riesling winemaking. This then rested in stainless steel on fine lees for two years. It has a very fresh apple, lime and lemon pastry nose and a smooth-honed palate with pastry-like notes and a long, fresh-apple and lime-sherbet finish. Blazingly good Riesling collaboration! Drink or hold. 96 points. Nick Stock, jamessuckling.com

Light straw-yellow hue, and a lifted fragrance of lime blossom and gardenia, perhaps frangipani, certainly the tropical flower lift of a cool-climate Germanic wine. It’s very intense in the mouth, delicate and firm in its acidity, any sweetness that might be there being well and truly outgunned by the acid. A tense, taut, mouth-wateringly delicious wine. For a Mosel riesling, it’s at the dry end of the spectrum. 95 points. Huon Hooke, The Real Review
